It was recently brought to my attention that I hung out my shingle 20 years ago! I knew I started ASM a while ago, but 20 years is longer than I had imagined (however, I don’t keep track of how old I am, so I guess I should not be that surprised).
I can still remember when my friend, Sherry Freitas (she went by a different name back in the early 90’s), constantly telling me about the multi-family industry and how she believed I could be successful in this industry (at the time I was in the health club industry with no real career path)….it took me a few years to find my way into multi-family, but she was right…this is a great industry with so many opportunities, career paths and people, and I can’t say enough how glad I am to be a part of it.
First, I would like to thank all the owners, managers and developers ASM is representing and has had the pleasure of representing. I would like to give a big Thank You to my first two (and still existing) clients; Artcraft and Residential One who, 20 years ago, took a chance on me. I believe these long standing relationships are a testament to the personal touch and value ASM delivers.
I would also like to say Thank you to all the providers that ASM has worked with over the years ……. without your cooperation and trust, ASM would not be what we are today.
To all the business relationships I have forged and true friendships I have made…Thank you for being a part of my life…my life is richer because of all of you.
To my colleagues at ASM….Thank you for being part of this journey and helping grow ASM to what it is today and what it will be in the future…I could not do this without all of you.
To the multi-family industry… Thank you for allowing me to be part of this wonderful industry and giving me a wonderful career which has allowed me to do many of the things I always dreamed of doing professionally and personally.
I look forward to the new relationships and friendships that are still to come and I am excited to see how ASM grows and evolves over the next 20 years!
